I have been in the high risk industry of emergency response clean up for almost 40 years and rarely get to work with a subject matter expert like Steve. My firm contained a large Lithium Ion Battery (3 alarm fire) of e-bike roughly 340 of them in Southern CA. After nearly three decades in corporate business operations, Steve transitioned into environmental emergency response, where he developed extensive field experience managing complex lithium battery incidents. His work includes three major U.S. EPA Superfund remediation projects, damaged electric vehicle batteries, commercial battery fires, and large-scale battery recovery operations across the United States.
Through years of hands-on response work, Steve has developed specialized expertise in damaged, defective, and recalled (DDR) lithium battery management, U.S. DOT packaging and transportation requirements, Special Permit applications, and practical remediation strategies. He founded Battalion Response Consulting to provide clients with experienced, independent technical guidance when safety, compliance, and sound field decisions matter most.
